Academic assessment

It has already been three weeks since I have joined Islington College and London Met. I have a sense of feeling that academically my journey has come a long way.
In this semester there are four modules namely Logic, Study Skills for Computing, Problem Solving for IT, Programming. So far in Logic I have learnt to logically differentiate propositions and solve them through truth tables and Boolean algebras using laws. It has also taught us to solve set equations and create simple solutions.
‘Study skills for computing’ has helped me understand the importance of referencing the contents and materials, mind map through problems and prepare reflective analysis of a work.
Problem solving for IT has helped to think out of the box to solve general yet mind nagging problems. It has helped me to understand and identify the core of the problem and solve it step by step.
Programming has been all about writing programs in Java. I find the topic interesting but also find it a bit difficult to understand. It generally teaches us to create simple yet effective programs.
Academically speaking I feel very happy to have joined this institution as I find the methods of teaching here very interesting and very effective. The content of each and every module itself are very interesting and has helped me to better myself as a student and even as a person.
